Yellow Box Engineering ltd has a limited stock of fully restored oil pumps for the Citroen traction Avant. They perform to standards well above their original performance as confined when tested on our in house test rig!
We have a supply of ID/DS19/11D and Perfo pumps.
The restoration work completed on our stock of pumps includes:
New oversized gears are fitted. They are individually ground to suit the wear in the pump body.
The original pressure relief valve from the Perfo engine is of poor design and it is not possible to satisfactorily refurbish it and so a new pressure relief valve is fitted – the relief valves in the 11D and ID/DS19 oil pumps are of a more modern design and can be reused.
The drive gear is fitted with the correct end float.
All reconditioned oil pumps are then tested at 1000RPM in oil at a temperature of 60/70⁰C. The results are stamped on the base plate. This testing is completely unique to Yellow Box Engineering on our in-house test rig!
